So, this week, October 25th — October 27th, I have, so far, seen a documentary by Ashley Banjo Britain in Black and White on the reaction to his 2020 dance routine by Diversity for Britains Got Talent which incorporated a Black Lives Matter theme and a scene reminding us all, of what was physically done to George Floyd by a police officer in America— and it must be said what does happen (murder) in England — which received 1,000’s of complaints to OFCOM. Yes. You heard correctly. I am still shocked that anyone complained and hence the need to understand why; then a programme by Jermaine Jenas on SUS with video of black men and women being stopped and searched by police, then abused, physically manhandled (assault?) and then in some cases charged with ‘obstruction’.
