I love a good horror movie, and after seeing the trailer for Weapons a few months ago, I was intrigued by this strange story from Zach Cregger about the disappearance of a whole class of school children, except for one lone survivor. Although I am not so sure he feels like a lucky survivor.

In the film, 17 children got out of bed at 2:17 a.m. and ran into the night, their arms slightly outstretched, like toddlers playing “Airplane,” and disappeared into the darkness. An investigation is launched, and nothing is found.

The loss of the children is, as you can imagine, traumatic to all in the town and is slowly destroying the relationships of the parents. In this case, there are no bodies to mourn, no one to bury, and no answers to a myriad of questions. Closure is impossible. But even worse than that is the not knowing. What…
