The Tragedy of Grenfell: Murder of the Innocent

Last night on Channel 4 a documentary was aired that added more outrage upon the already existing pain and anger from the fire at Grenfell Tower on June 14th 2017 which claimed the lives of 73 people. This was the worst residential fire in Britain since the Second World War.
Grenfell: The Untold Story showed-never-seen-before camera footage of Constantine Gros who was the Tower’s Artist in Residence as the £10m refurbishment of Grenfell Tower took place. Constantine Gras documented the struggles of the ‘Grenfell Residents Group’ — a group of residents who raised issues and concerns about the refurbishment work being carried out on the tower in the two years before the fire. His footage documents key meetings held with local politicians and the landlord, the TMO, as we witness residents who are not just struggling to be heard but are being completely ignored by local politician Victoria Bothwick and TMO Director, Peter Maddison.
