The New Texas Abortion Law 2021: Life, Liberty And The Pursuit Of Totalitarianism

OK. Lets clear one important issue up immediately. The six-week limit for abortions in Texas is virtually impossible to be operative as a time limit, as a woman can only truly be cognisant that she is pregnant after this time period has already transpired. I would assume most normal adult citizens of America — and Texas — would know why? Or am I presuming too much?

A missed menstrual cycle and then a (positive) pregnancy test would obviously be the necessary requirements. That could be between a week or a month depending upon the time of the month. So, some women might be lucky and be aware — just — that they are pregnant but the vast majority would find out after the six-week abortion limit has passed. I use the word lucky in its meaning of they might just have enough time to get an abortion if they decide to. But that does not even give time for any decision making process, whether to have the unborn child, or not. So let’s be honest, Texas now, has a complete ban on abortion. Period.

Once the six-weeks are up then having an abortion in Texas — unless conception is a direct threat to your life or an organ of your body — then the person or persons carrying out the abortion and helping to abort the unborn are breaking Texas civil law and can be sued.
