The Ideology Of Empire In The Domain Of Medium

The ghosts of Empire are back

I have been involved with the recent disharmony on Medium caused by changes in the internal running of the platform. I have been — when not writing upon my usual subjects — reading the excellent pieces — well-informed and with cogent argument — by other disgruntled and now called ‘whining’ writers.

The latest smear being invoked is an attempt to silence the voice and justify the new system. Such disparaging and personal insults are now being thrown around without considering the impact upon the community of writers on Medium. And the mud when thrown does stick. That is the intention, I can only surmise.
