To be able to write and entertain but also make a moral or ethical or social point is the ultimate for a writer.

The ghost of Orwell is very much with us today. Fascism is on the rise and yet the people are force fed propaganda daily and shows/circuses to keep them docile and soporific.

But the cracks have appeared.

It is for writers too exploit those cracks now and widen them.

The only problem with medium.com is that it is weighted towards American issues.

We could do with a publication on medium that covers Britain more extensively in politics,culture etc.
