Paul.

When I was researching about War Memorials I was blown away by the work of Rayner Hoff. I think his 'Sacrifice' (ANZAC Memorial, Sydney) is one of the greatest figurative sculptures ever made.

When you mentioned tears this is what moved me out of all the memorials and statues commissioned.

His life and work are fascinating. He deserves a piece on medium.

The tragedy for him were those commissioned female statues he never actually made due to public outrage. To me they sounded utterly awesome.

Do you know if there are any pictures of them? I have been unable to find any.

Being stopped from fulfilling these statues which woud have been modern masterpieces, I believe,I feel, did contribute to his early death.
