I took Ade's question as a prompt. Well, I mean how else could you take it?
Yes. OK. 2022 has been bloody awful for those not owning shares in Energy Companies or in Armaments manufacturing but 2023 is going to be even worse for us wherever you are. When the latest Top Gun: Maverick (2022) is the biggest box office success this year then you know the world is in deep existential trouble as much cultural and artistic as political. So it looks like Arts and Culture cannot save us because they are dead and buried in nostalgia and repetition.
So politically? How are we fairing here? War in Europe. World War 2 was 5 years and the war in Ukraine is now pushing inexorably towards that.
In England/Britain where my main concerns are we are dead and buried in the graveyard of a charlatan Parliamentary Democracy. There is no choice. There is no difference. There is nothing to split the Tory Party and The Labour Party. They are exactly the same.
