I had this piece written for some time and kept delaying it as I thought it might be just too serious and uncomfortable an issue to burden my readers with but with your response Paulette I am so relieved I did send it for publication.

You just feel so alone and so guilty. But then once you start to talk about the subject the responses from those who know what it is like to face this situation make you less isolated and alone.
