A Poem

Ecce Homo (1605/6) by Caravaggio

Prompt me. Please.

Prompt me. I have time.

Yes. Time?

Time is omnipresent. But not as omnipresent and omniscient as

the Eternal. Yet. It is nowhere to be actually revealed and seen with the naked eye.

It is for the human mind to try and comprehend.

And only imitate in a state of grace. Or a work of the Sublime.

We cannot ever know or meet the real unknowable. Curse and blessing.

And time?

Promiscuous and yet, evanescent. Gone in a moment.

Then back again. Repeat. Cyclical. Inescapable. Prisoner.

No. Try again. Keep trying. Get better. Incremental greatness. Each of us.

Live right now. Moment after moment.

Ours, to be human, is to be striving to be moving, in time…… to be.

Being in time.

Corporeal creation, crawling and crashing through challenge, after challenge,

after challenge.

We are the prompts of time.

And this is our eternal return.

And our eternal reward.
