You have given me much food for thought in your brilliant response. So much so that I am writing a piece on the Fisher King. I will certainly acknowledge your response as a prompt and preparation.

One cannot mention the Fisher King without mentioning Gilliam’s wonderful scatological 1991 film with Robbin Williams and Jeff Bridges.

And secondly Oedipus. Another wounded King who answers the question posed to him correctly by the Sphinx to become King of a toxic wasteland.
