I did put everything into your momentous autobiography: heart, mind and soul.

I wanted to do justice to you, your suffering, your loss, and justice to the people of Palestine--the living and the dead.

I did feel the weight of history upon me because of your life and this book. It is very heavy. But then all the greatest works of literature are.

Strangely, I partly became you but still had the cultural influences that spoke to me while reading your manuscript and writing the article.
