America was forged in a blood sacrifice and built upon The Original Sin of genocide: the dispossession of land and murder of the Native Americans and the brutal enslavement of millions. Hitler admired the South. The continuous and ongoing battle between fascism and liberalism is the central dialectic of American democracy. Fascism in America cannot be defeated but it can be repressed. But if the nominal 'liberal' President indulges in fascist acts then American Democracy is finished.
