I could not get too too personal but this chap is a bonafide academic lecturing at Liverpool Hope University. (Hope? Ironic eh?) I was genuinely shocked and quite angry that someone of his role and position should be suggesting that such a possibility should be welcomed. I may well send it to him and see what his reply is. Now that would stir things up quite a bit. If he responds that is.

But the worst thing was that he completely reads Neo and The Matrix in the complete opposite way of the theme of the story. Humanity has become an energy source for the machines and yet he is OK with us becoming machines? Neo only utilises a ‘download’ to confront the Agents inside the construct.
